Cool Maker KumiKreator Friendship Bracelet Maker

Cool Maker KumiKreator Friendship Bracelet Maker

The girls were very excited to be sent a Friendship Bracelet Maker, from KumiKreator by Cool Maker.

It is an amazing little set, and this set enables you to make up to 10 friendship bracelets, with so many different designs, or make one of your own up.

The girls were all eager to get started, having many friends, they started by saying who they wished to make one for.

I actually wish friendship bracelets had been around when I was younger, they are so lovely to show you friends you care.

For the girls this was a great way to show their friends, how much they care, with it being friendship day on August 5th this year.

On opening the box, the girls had a look through and found the design booklet, where they then could see what the designs were and choose one each to make for their friends.

The colours of the spoole cottons are bright and colourful, a really lovely selection.

There was not much to set up, just a case of connecting the arm into a slot into the base and then a case of placing the spools matching the design set out clearly in the design booklet.

Intially it was a bit fiddly working out how to put the spools in each slot, but once you click it in place it was quite easy.

The girls found working together good fun, both choosing different designs and checking the measurements as they went along.

You need to put the little clasp stickers on either end to keep it all in place, whilst you then add an end cap to stop the clasps from just slipping off.

The joy when it was completed was lovely to see, the girls have now asked me to order some more spools, which I will do, as these are lovely to share with friends, but also have friends over to help create their own designs.

You can get them on Amazon for around £29.99 you can also buy replacement sets for £9.99 making an extra 12 sets

This really is a lovely set from Cool Maker and we would give it 10/10

Confession about Dress Sense

I have a confession to make!

Today I have a confession, I have the worst dress sense I know.

For years, I loved bright, bold, colourful prints and I wore it all.

I have a wonderful friend, who no matter what size or mood, she would always, always turn out stylish, co-ordinated and looking beautiful.

We travelled the world, spent lots of time together and in fact had many wonderful, happy memories and have photographs to remind us of our adventures.

Looking back you can see me in a Disney t-shirt and M would be in a plain one. #whatmamaworemonday a weekly linky run by and

When it clicked

A few years back, I finally plucked up the courage to ask M what her secret was, how did she always look so polished.

She kindly pointed out, I would be the one in the top with cartoon characters on or bold prints, where as hers were plain and matched or toned well.

It was like a sudden bolt, since then I have tried to steer away from cartoon tops, from wacky outfits, but still I can end up wearing a mish mash of clothes, that really should not be seen together.

M would never put half the things I do on, she would never ever wear odd combinations, I just seem not to help myself, I think if it is comfy it will do.

I do however try my best when going somewhere out, or special, but I ultimately leave everything to the last minute, I always have, I am trying to change that, so far it is not going to plan.

I am who I am

A lovely vivacious, body confident, lady named Kate sadly died quite suddenly a week ago and it rocked the Blogging community a lot.

I met Kate a few times through various blogging events we both attended, the last one was two years ago, where we talked single parenthood, losing weight and dating. We also recently spoke online about the dating scene, she was always someone who gave things ago, who made others feel positive.

Kate exuded confidence, she also shared her ups and downs and her journey through life.

Her main two loves of her life were her precious sons.

It hit home for me, as we were the same age, both lone parents. Kate was different, she believed in doing something if you wanted, eat it if you fancied and wear it if you like it.

I have taken on the mantra, that the blogging world shared in Kate’s honour #BeMoreWitWitWoo , it is her legacy, well her boys are, but for the rest of us, no matter what shape, size, be more positive about ourselves.

I am going to be more true to me, sharing my journey and not just sharing the most flattering of images.

The future

My body, is not how I wish it, so only I can do something about it and for that I need to lose some weight.

I am a fairly confident individual, I have not really had a problem with confidence for many years now, though I do suffer with self doubt at times, specially when it comes to what to wear.

I am looking forward to the next journey in my life, at 47 years young, I have a lot of adventures still to come.

The biggest battle is fighting the weight issue, so I joined yet again, Slimming world a few weeks back, it is coming down slowly, it could be an age thing or just my body being stubborn, which is typical of me.

Here is to the future, here is raising a glass to a wonderful, vivacious woman Kate, also known as WitWitWoo. To her for bringing so many together and pushing us all out of our comfort zones.

Let the adventure begin in this new chapter I write. We all can do, start a new chapter in our lives. So if you are reading this and would love to be able to do something, wear it, eat it, then go do it.

Do you have any hang ups, confession even or is it just me?

The Goblet of Fire Harry Potter WB Studio Tours

The Goblet of Fire

Recently Warner Brother Studio tours have changed and added some new props to the tour. Showcasing the fourth instalment of The Goblet of Fire in Harry Potter.

If you have ever thought about visiting and wondering if there would be enough to do and see, let me tell you that there is never enough time to fit it all in!

The detail in each area is so intricate, with such a vast amount of props, that you can go again and again and still miss bits.

Visiting once is never enough for a true Harry Potter fan.

What is so marvelous about the Warner Brothers Studio Tour, is they are constantly changing by adding new pieces.

When we arrived we noticed that a huge building is going up. something exciting is coming next year!

Part of the magic and adding to the whole atmosphere, is the music you will here throughout from various parts of Harry Potter.

The original Goblet of Fire is in the Great Hall, once you make your way through some pretty impressive doors and after walking down past the long dining tables, all laid out as if the children of Hogwarts are about to eat.

At the end is the Goblet from the Triwizard Champions, ready to throw out a piece of paper with a very special name on.

Which you can claim your very own piece as a sovenir just outside the Great hall to keep.

Special effects

Badger loves everything about Harry Potter, so she was the first to spot new things.

I had a problem of keeping up with her and the others in their enthusiasm to see it all.

I thought the Monster book of Monsters was rather scary and yet look at those eyes.

On a few of the exhibits, you can press buttons for them to come alive through animation.

Keeping the magic of believing, is being able to interact and make objects, creatures come alive at the press of a button.

it gives an even clearer picture of how clever the creators and people behind the scenes all work to achieve all the details and so realistic too.

There really is such variety, sometimes the need to re read the book or watch one of the films, to check on an item you may of missed.

Though who needs an excuse to do either, the magic of the books and films make it all spellbinding.

After a couple of hours walking, you come to an eating area, the Backlot Cafe area.

This is a great place have to have a rest, get something to eat and drink and we highly recommend trying the Butter Beer or better still we love the Butterbeer Ice cream.

Bolt loves it so much, he decided to help me eat mine too!

There are two shopping areas, one before you get to the Backlot Cafe, where there are often items on sale, that are not available at the next shop.

It is an amazing experience, one which we will treasure and highly recommend.

My Top Tips for a Visit:

  1. Wear your most comfortable of shoes
  2. Make sure your phone or camera batteries are full, as you will want to take so many photos.
  3. You can buy photographs, from £14 each, or a film of you flying a broomstick from £20
  4. The food in the cafe is priced around £7 for a burger or other main meals, but factor in drinks.
  5. You can buy a Butterbeer sovenir mug or Sundae dish for £6.95 including the Butterbeer or Ice-cream
  6. You can take your own food and drinks, but eat it in the Backlot cafe area, plenty of seating.
